Rollator Safety Tips: Safety for rollator users, both young and old, is vital. Here are some rollator safety tips that work with different rollators and walkers.
- Make sure you adjust the rollator to the proper height, and that it is sturdy enough for the user’s weight. If you received one after rehab, ask them to make any necessary adjustments.
- Put the user’s name on it in the case of hospitalization or a rehab stay.
- Wipe down with anti-bacterial wipes, especially the handles, on a regular basis.
- Use a four-wheel rollator with brakes for more safety and stability. With the four-wheeler, if the user gets tired, you can put the breaks on and help them sit down on the rollator seat.
