Self Propelling Wheelchairs have larger rear wheels, which allow the occupant to manoeuvre the wheelchair him/herself.

Self Propelled wheelchairs can be a wonderful liberator for someone with a spinal cord injury or poor mobility. Self propelling allows the user to get around as quickly in a wheelchair as someone else can by walking.

We recommend Wheelchair assessment if this is your first wheelchair. The assessment is usually undertaken by therapists – they may be either occupational therapists or physiotherapists, who have specialised in this work and undertaken specific training. Wheelchair assessment is very detailed and structured

We pride ourselves on being able to provide a quality range of wheelchairs including useful wheelchair accessories such as elevating legrest for people with painful legs
